Hillel is committed to tzedek
(social justice) and tikun olam
(repairing the world). To live those values, we offer opportunities for students to learn about, and become involved in, projects that make a positive impact on our world. Two such opportunities are listed below. For others ways to become involved in tzedek
and tikun olam,
contact Shira Lutz, Program Director at email@example.com
Alternative Spring Break (ASB) Trip
Hillel’s ASB trip provides students with a unique and fulfilling way to spend spring break. In the past, we have traveled to New Orleans to rebuild houses after Hurricane Katrina, Miami to volunteer at a Boys and Girls Club, and more. Interested in an Alternative Spring Break, or have a great idea? Contact Shira Lutz, Program Director at firstname.lastname@example.org
Challah for Hunger brings people together to bake and sell challah to raise funds and awareness for social justice. Proceeds from challah sales are split between MAZON and the Yolo Food Bank. For more information, check us out on Facebook!
